Golf Skorts That Will Fit Your Body Type
As the weather gets warmer and the golf season draws near, I’m hoping to find stylish golf skorts that I can rock on the golf course.
Many women golfers will probably want to stick with the knee-length shorts and collared t-shirts, but, I want to challenge you to find an outfit that makes you feel good while you kick butt on the course. Wearing skorts/skirts is not only fashionable, but allows your legs to breathe!
There’s no better way to show off your feminine side than to sport golf skorts when you play, but you need to make sure you get the right fit and wear the best pieces for your body type. Here are some pointers that can help in selecting the appropriate golf skort style for you.
Athletic
If you have an athletic build with narrow hips and slim legs, you’ll look better in styles that have a little drape (extra fabric), pockets at the sides and back pockets with flaps. All these details will give your figure some curves. Ruffles are your best friend. You’ll also want to keep your length slightly above the knee, to show off your slim legs. You can pull off any bold print.
Straight/Thin
If you’re like me, you are thin with a narrow waist and a small bust. You have trouble fitting into clothes that are stretchy. Sometimes, your skorts don’t quite fit the way you want them to.
The best advice I have is to find golf skirts with the hem that stops at the shapeliest part of you calf. That will be your best bet. Play with belts, coats, pleats, tights, etc. to maximize the appearance you want to achieve.
Also, rocking some bright colors like pink, orange or blue will accentuate your body a little bit more.
Hourglass
The key to dressing an hourglass body type is to balance your lower body with your bust, while accentuating your waist. To accommodate this, pick skort styles that fit close to the waist and then drape out over the hips and bottom. And since you have a bigger bust, a nice polo v-neck will suit you well.
Oval
You tend to have an undefined waist, a full torso, broad shoulders and slim legs. Pick skirts with a minimal waist band or a style with no waist band at all. De-emphasize your midsection and create a more defined waist.
Choose clothing that will add curves and fullness to your lower body and tops that taper to a waist. You have amazing legs so feel free to play with skirt lengths, but don’t go too short otherwise you will further a top-heavy look.
Whatever your body type, you can find a golf skort that will fit you just the way you are. So, go out on the golf course and rock a skort.
Be confident, be fashionable. There are tons of brands, sizes and styles to choose from. Just make sure to do some research and find what will best suit you.
